If you are looking in the yard for specific vehicles you need to exit the back of the workshop by hitting on the doors and when you spawn outside turn right and look for the rusty tank carcasses there. The tanks in the junk yard will be in a sorry state and cost next to nothing but will take a little more effort to restore. In the junk yard the tanks don't give you the usual information when you move your cursor over them but if you hit and select the info option you'll get the name of the tank and the option to buy it. You can attain tanks by digging them up on extraction missions or looking in the right hand side of the junk yard.
